VolSolv™ (Proprietary Process)
VolSolv™ is Volantis Group's trademarked line of chemical processes engineered to efficiently remove fouling deposits from industrial equipment during preoperational cleaning.
Traditionally, cleaning operations require three separate chemical treatments to:
- Remove light oils and protective coatings applied during manufacturing or construction.
- Dissolve mill scale.
- Eliminate iron oxides and corrosion deposits formed on steel surfaces.
These conventional methods often demand three different solutions, multiple rinses, and seven to eight volumes of water, with operations stretching over a week to complete.
The VolSolv™ process streamlines this by using a single chemical volume to achieve the same — or superior — results. This significantly reduces cleaning time, water consumption>, and overall project duration, making VolSolv™ a more sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective alternative for industrial pre-commissioning.
Following mill scale removal, the solution is converted to a neutralization/passivation treatment by raising the pH to approximately 9 and adding a non-chemistry-based oxidizer. This final stage ensures internal surfaces are properly passivated and prepared for operation.
