Equipment and Operators for Commissioning and Maintenance
Commissioning and maintenance scopes need equipment that most facilities do not own: silencers rated for steam blow flows, hydroblasting units, high-volume pumps and temporary piping. Volantis Group supplies that fleet with trained operators, or on its own if your crews will run it. Either way the equipment arrives specified for the job rather than adapted to it.
Renting is usually the right answer. Specialized machinery is often needed once in a facility's lifecycle, or at infrequent outages and turnarounds, so owning it means capital cost, storage and maintenance for equipment that sits idle between events. Rental scales to the schedule and is demobilised when the scope ends.
The Fleet
Equipment is selected against the flow, pressure, noise limit and site conditions the scope calls for:
Steam Dry Silencers
High-performance noise reduction and moisture removal for safe, compliant steam blows, with units rated for steam flows exceeding one million lbs/hour.
Hydroblasting Pumps
Small-volume units for precision cleaning in confined areas, and large-volume high-pressure units for scale, slag and obstructions in major lines.
Hydrolazing Units
High-pressure water jetting equipment for targeted cleaning.
Centrifugal Pumps
High-volume industrial-grade flow for recirculation and fluid delivery, including flushing and hydrostatic scopes.
Modular and Temporary Piping
Temporary spools, headers and jumpers that make a flush or test loop possible without modifying the permanent system.
Temporary Boilers and Tanks
Supplied through VGI's vendor network, from frac tanks to temporary boilers, with rates that come from frequent rental rather than one-off sourcing.
How We Work
The same sequence applies whether the equipment comes with operators or goes out on its own.
1. Scope the requirement
Flow rate, discharge pressure, duration, noise limits, access and site conditions are established first, because they decide which unit is the right one.
2. Select and supply
Equipment comes from the VGI fleet or, where a scope needs something we do not hold, from vendors we rent from regularly. Combining processes frequently allows similar or consolidated equipment to be used, which reduces the cost of both.
3. Operate
Trained VGI operators run the equipment through the scope, or hand it over to your crews with the operating requirements agreed in advance.
4. Demobilise
Rental periods are matched to the schedule, and equipment is removed at the end of the scope rather than held on site.
Rent, Operate or Both
Pricing and scope are set per project, and clients use us in three different ways:
Equipment with operators
VGI supplies the machinery and the crew that runs it, as part of a commissioning scope or a standalone service.
Equipment only
For clients who intend to self-perform, equipment is rented against the services VGI provides, with pricing provided for the items your scope needs.
Procurement support
Through equipment vendors VGI buys from regularly, piping, gauges, flanges and valves can often be procured at reduced cost.
Consolidated scopes
Where an alternate process uses similar or consolidated equipment, combining the scopes reduces the price of both. Ask for it and we will quote it.
What This Equipment Is Used For
The fleet exists to execute these processes:
VolSteamBlow™
Steam and heated gas cleaning, silenced and controlled
FuryFlush™
High-velocity flushing and debris removal
Hydrostatic Testing
Pressure testing of piping and pressure systems
Air Blows
Compressed-air cleaning of steam and fuel gas systems
Modular Piping
Temporary piping for commissioning loops
VolSolv™
Chemical cleaning and passivation
Why Rent From Volantis Group
- Equipment plus crews The same people who own the method run the machinery, or hand it over to yours
- Specified, not improvised Units are selected against the flow, pressure and noise limits the scope actually has
- Vendor network Temporary boilers, tanks, silencers and valves sourced through vendors VGI rents from frequently
- Reduced rates Frequent rental volume and consolidated scopes both work in your favour on price
- Procurement support Piping, gauges, flanges and valves bought through the same network
- Zero-incident safety culture High-pressure and high-temperature equipment operated by trained crews under exclusion zones
If you have an alternate process that would use similar equipment, or there are specific items you want priced, tell us and we will provide it.
